Premier League Fouls Bet Builder: Who Clears the 1+ Filter This Weekend

Fouls committed is one of the steadiest player markets to research, because the numbers are small and a player either gives away a foul in most of his games or he does not. This weekend's Premier League card runs from Saturday lunchtime to Monday night, ten matches in all, and the Statz Player Props page, set to 1+ fouls committed at a minimum price of 1.30, has 138 priced players on it.

Of those 138, 36 have committed a foul in at least four of their last five appearances, and 14 of the 36 have done it in all five. Every one of the 36 is in our predicted XI for his match. Everything below comes from the same data the page shows.

The research route

The filters, in order, on the Player Props page:

  1. Window: next 7 days, which takes in the Saturday, Sunday and Monday games.
  2. Competition: Premier League, ten matches in that window.
  3. Stat: Fouls Committed, at the 1+ line.
  4. Sort: hit rate, so the players who have cleared the line in most of their last five appearances come first.
  5. Minimum price: 1.30, which keeps out the shortest prices.
  6. Priced only: so every row is a market bet365 actually offers.

The page packages the same idea as a one-click preset: 1+ fouls, 80%+ hit rate, 1.30 and up. The full sheet is part of Statz Pro, and a couple of rows are free to look at first.

The five from five

Fourteen players have committed a foul in each of their last five appearances and are priced at 1.30 or better. They are listed in kick-off order, and the price range runs from the 1.30 floor to 1.67.

Four from five, with the model above the price

Another 22 players have committed a foul in four of their last five. Eight of them also show a positive edge on the page's Value view, where the Statz chance of a foul sits above the price. They run from Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 1.36 to Marc Guéhi at 2.00, the longest price among the 36.

Before kick-off, and beyond hit rate

Every leg assumes the player starts, and at the time of writing all 36 are predicted starters rather than confirmed ones. Team sheets are announced around an hour before kick-off, so check each match page before you commit to a leg.

Sorting by hit rate answers one question: who has done this most often lately? It does not ask whether the price is fair. The Player Props page also shows our projection against the bookmaker price, and its Value view ranks by that gap instead. Ten of these 36 show a positive edge on that measure; the rest are here for their recent frequency. The same page covers shots, shots on target, fouls drawn, tackles, goals, assists and passes, and the Premier League streaks board shows who is on a run right now. For the players who get fouled most, see the most fouled players in the Premier League.

To run the same search on the next set of fixtures, start from the fouls committed view.
