The Statz tipster column for the eighth Sunday of 2026/27: a five-from-ten Week 7 owned in full, nine Sunday leans with no five-star side on the board, the quarterbacks and the injuries that move the numbers, touchdown scorers, props and the longshot slips.
Week 8, with the receipts from Week 7
Last Sunday's card went five from ten, and the five that lost are going in the first paragraph. The wins: the Colts plus six and a half at Minnesota (a six-point loss, 16-10), the Giants plus ten and a half at Houston (they won outright, 27-21), the Giants-Texans over (48 points), the Broncos-Cardinals over (46) and the Bengals-Ravens under, which finished at 48. The losses: New England plus three and a half in Chicago on Thursday (30-24), the Steelers-Saints over in Paris (26 points), Arizona plus four and a half, which Denver won 30-16, Kansas City plus two and a half, which Seattle won 20-3, and Philadelphia plus four and a half, the one five-star side of the week, which Dallas won 38-21. Three of the five that landed were totals, which is worth holding on to.
The parlays were quiet. All five of the NFL Parlays editions lost, including the Totals Parlay, which hit two overs and missed the third in Paris by 18 points, and the NFL Parlays record is eight winners from 41, 24.3 points staked and 39.27 returned, 14.97 up. The single-game slips had two winners and are six from 103, 2.05 up; the touchdown accas are two from 80, 11.45 down. Week 8 has fourteen games and four teams on a bye: Houston, New Orleans, the Giants and San Francisco. Three of the games are on their own, each with a preview: Panthers at Packers on Thursday, Eagles at Commanders on Sunday night and Bears at Seahawks on Monday. This column covers the eleven games on Sunday afternoon.
Best bets: no five-stars, and eight leans
There is no five-star side on the board this week: the biggest gaps between the model and the market are three to five points, and none clears the bar. The four-stars are the leans, half a point each. Two are the Thursday and Sunday-night games, covered in their previews: Green Bay minus three and a half at 1.98 and the Eagles-Commanders over at 40.0. Nine are on the Sunday afternoon slate.
Arizona plus seven and a half at Dallas at 1.87 on Kalshi is a 57% model call against 53.5% implied: the model has Dallas by four, not seven, with Carson Beck questionable, Jacoby Brissett projected for 250 yards, and Michael Wilson, Jeremiyah Love and Tyler Allgeier all on the questionable list. The New York Jets on the moneyline against Las Vegas at 1.87 on Kalshi is a 56.9% call against 53.3%, Jets by three and a half in the model. Pittsburgh minus three and a half against Cleveland at 2.06 on Kalshi is a 53.1% call against 48.5%, the model has Pittsburgh by six. The Falcons-Buccaneers under at 44.5 at 2.02 on Kalshi is a 53.9% call against 49.5%, the model total 39.2, five points under. Indianapolis plus ten and a half at Jacksonville at 1.90 on Kalshi is a 55.7% call against 52.6%, and the Colts-Jaguars under at 46.5 at 1.98 on Kalshi a 53.1% call against 50.5%, the model total 43.1. The Rams minus six and a half against the Chargers at 2.02 on Kalshi is a 54.4% call against 49.5%, the model has them by ten. And Denver plus one and a half against Kansas City at 1.94 on Kalshi is a 55.8% call against 51.5%, with the Chiefs-Broncos over at 40.5 at 2.04 on Polymarket a 52.1% call against 49%, the model total 44.

Where the model and the market really disagree
The widest gaps on the main lines, in points, framed as questions. Chiefs at Broncos: Kansas City by one and a half in the market, Denver by two in the model, three and a half points, and the question is what the market thinks of a Denver offence that scored 30 last week. Rams at Chargers: Los Angeles by six and a half against Los Angeles by ten, three and a quarter. Cardinals at Cowboys: Dallas by seven against Dallas by four, three points, with Carson Beck questionable and Jacoby Brissett projected for 250 yards. Panthers at Packers: Green Bay by three and a half against six, nearly three. Browns at Steelers: Pittsburgh by three and a half against six, two and a half, and Colts at Jaguars: Jacksonville by ten against seven and a half, two and a half the other way.
The totals disagree as much as the sides. The model has Falcons-Buccaneers at 39.2 against a market of 44.5, five points under; Eagles-Commanders at 44.3 against 40.5, four over; Chiefs-Broncos at 44 against 40.5, three and a half over; Colts-Jaguars at 43.1 against 46.5, three and a half under; Ravens-Bills at 51.4 against 54.5, three under; Raiders-Jets at 43.1 against 45.5, two and a half under; Patriots-Dolphins at 45.8 against 43.5, just over two. The quiet ones: Cardinals-Cowboys, Chargers-Rams, Vikings-Lions and Titans-Bengals totals are within about a point of the model.
The quarterbacks, and what they do to the numbers
Lamar Jackson is questionable for Baltimore with an ankle for the third week in a row. J.J. McCarthy is out for Minnesota and Kyler Murray starts; Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve and Tanner McKee starts for Philadelphia. Carson Beck is questionable for Arizona with a back, Josh Johnson is out as Cincinnati's backup and Trevor Siemian is questionable as Atlanta's backup with Cooper Rush out. The injuries that move numbers this week are on the skill positions: Jahmyr Gibbs is questionable for Detroit with a shoulder and Amon-Ra St. Brown with an ankle, George Pickens is questionable for Dallas with a shoulder, Michael Wilson with ribs and Jeremiyah Love with an ankle for Arizona, Brock Bowers with a calf for Las Vegas and A.J. Brown with an ankle for New England. The inactives drop 90 minutes before each kick-off, about 4:30pm UK for the 6pm games. The injury table is live.
Touchdown scorers
Bhayshul Tuten at 1.76 against Indianapolis is the best scorer on the board: a 70% model call against 57% implied. Further out, the gaps the model sees: RJ Harvey at 4.75 for Denver is a 32% call against 21%, Harold Fannin Jr. at 3.90 for Cleveland a 33% call against 26%, Pat Freiermuth at 3.90 for Pittsburgh a 32% call against 26%, Omarion Hampton at 2.80 for the Chargers a 41% call against 36%, Ollie Gordon II at 2.30 for Miami a 50% call against 43%, and Chris Rodriguez Jr. at 4.20 for Jacksonville a 30% call against 24%. Jordan Addison at 4.00 for Minnesota is a 31% call against 25%.
The fades are the short prices. Bijan Robinson at 1.52 is a 50% call priced at 66%; Javonte Williams at 1.41 a 57% call priced at 71%; Josh Jacobs at 1.68 a 39% call priced at 60%; Rhamondre Stevenson at 1.74 a 42% call priced at 57%; Emanuel Wilson at 1.71 a 35% call priced at 58%; Tony Pollard at 2.05 a 33% call priced at 49%. The Touchdown Parlays page builds the accas: Short Prices for the 6pm games at 6.75 is James Cook III, Jahmyr Gibbs and Kyle Pitts, the model at 15.7% against 14.8%, a point, and Short Prices for the late games at 6.41 is Kyren Williams at 1.66, Kenneth Walker III at 1.68 and Gordon at 2.30, 16.5% against 15.6%, a point.
- Bhayshul Tuten anytime touchdown — RB, JAX · v the Colts — at 1.76 — The widest scorer gap on the board. Game preview
- RJ Harvey anytime touchdown — RB, DEN · v the Chiefs — at 4.75 — A 32% call at nearly 4/1. Denver are home underdogs the model likes. Game preview
Props the model rates
The five-stars on the Props Tool this week skew to backs who run a lot. James Cook III over 84.5 rushing yards at 1.86 is projected at 115 against the Ravens, a 63% model call, and Cook over 17.5 carries is projected at 25, 64%. Tee Higgins over 66.5 receiving yards at 1.86 is projected at 93 against Tennessee, 62%. J.K. Dobbins over 24.5 rushing yards at 1.86 is projected at 51, 64%. Jaylen Warren over 2.5 receptions at 1.62 is projected at 4.4, 68%. Check the injury table first: Cook's teammates DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid are questionable, and so is Ladd McConkey, whose receiving unders are the other side of this board.

Longshots: the published slips
Sixteen same-game slips are published for Week 8 on the Single Game Parlays page across eight games, and the Week 8 round-up goes through them. The record on that surface is six winners from 103 for 16.15 points staked and 18.2 returned, 2.05 up. The Titans-Bengals Second Receiver Ceiling at 49.21 is the widest gap on the page: 10.0% against 2.0% implied. Four of the sixteen are Patriots-Dolphins. A tenth to a quarter of a point each, 2.4 points for the whole page.
Staking, and the ledger
Half a point on each of the nine Sunday leans, the Thursday Green Bay side and the Sunday-night over; a point on the Spread Parlay and a quarter on the Bold One and the late Slate Parlay; half a point on Tuten, Cook, Higgins and Dobbins and a quarter on Harvey; and the slips at a tenth to a quarter each. It is a bigger card than last week's because there is a four-star in nearly every game and no five-star in any.
Check three things before the first kick-off: Jackson, the Detroit injury report for Gibbs and St. Brown, and the Arizona inactives. If Gibbs is out, the Vikings-Lions numbers move, and if Jackson is out the Ravens-Bills bets are different bets.
