AI NFL player props explained: how model prop picks work, the markets they cover, what makes a good prop bet and the tools to research every bet365 line.
Player props are the fastest-growing corner of NFL betting: passing yards, rushing yards, receptions, touchdowns and more, on every player in every game. AI NFL player props put a model's projection and chance beside each line, so you can see in seconds where the sportsbook and the numbers disagree. This guide explains how AI prop picks work, which markets they cover, what separates a good prop bet from a bad one, and how to research any prop on Statz NFL.
What are AI NFL player props?
A player prop is a bet on one player's numbers rather than on the result: over 64.5 receiving yards, under 1.5 passing touchdowns, to score a touchdown at any time. AI NFL player props are prop picks made by a statistical model. The model projects every player's stat line for the game, compares it with the sportsbook's line, and works out the chance of each side winning.
The value is consistency and coverage. A bettor can research a handful of players a week; a model reads every prop on every game, every day, with the same care. Statz NFL measures every bet365 player prop against its projections, and the best of them lead Prop Picks.
Every prop starts with the player's history. Below are this season's leaders in rushing yards, receiving yards and touchdowns, each linked to the game log for that market, where you can see how often he has cleared his line.

Regular season, so far. Each name opens that player's game-by-game log for the market. Touchdowns count rushing and receiving scores, the ones an anytime scorer bet pays on.
The player prop markets covered
- Passing yards: the quarterback's total yards through the air.
- Passing touchdowns: over or under a line such as 1.5, priced from the projected touchdown passes.
- Rushing yards and rush attempts: a running back's or quarterback's work on the ground.
- Receiving yards and receptions: the most popular props for wide receivers, tight ends and pass-catching backs.
- Anytime touchdown scorer: the player scores at least once, covered in our anytime touchdown predictions guide.
- Milestones and alternative lines: thresholds such as 60+ rushing yards or 6+ receptions, each priced on its own.
How AI prop picks work
Every prop pick starts with a projection. The model projects the player's stat for the game, from his role, his team's expected volume, the matchup and the game script, and from that comes a chance for the over and the under at the sportsbook's line. That chance is set beside the price, and where the two disagree the prop is worth a closer look. The strongest of those lead Prop Picks.
The projections run daily and move with the news: an injury to a starter, a change on the depth chart, a line moving at the book. A game's projections are frozen at kickoff, so the record shows what the model said before the game, not after. Our stat predictions guide covers the projections themselves.
What makes a good NFL player prop bet
- Volume first: targets and carries are steadier from week to week than yards per catch or per carry. Receptions and attempts are among the most predictable props for that reason.
- The matchup: a receiver facing a defence that gives up big numbers to his position has a better chance than his season average suggests. Best Matchups ranks every defence by position.
- Game script: a team expected to trail throws more; a team expected to lead runs more. The spread tells you which way a game is likely to go.
- The median, not the average: most players have plenty of ordinary games and a few huge ones, so the typical game sits below the average. Overs feel safer than they are.
- The price: the same prop can be priced differently at different books. Half a yard and a few cents add up over a season.
- The news: a late scratch changes props within minutes. Check the injury report before you bet.
Overs, unders and the player prop mistakes to avoid
Most bettors prefer overs. Cheering for a player to have a big game is more fun than hoping he has a quiet one, and sportsbooks know it, so popular overs on star players are often priced a little short. Unders on the same players can be the better side for exactly that reason, especially for receivers whose averages are lifted by one or two huge games.
The other common mistakes are just as avoidable. Betting a player because of his name rather than his role, ignoring a tough matchup because he scored last week, stacking several props from the same game without thinking about how they are linked, and chasing a long streak on the assumption that it must continue. A projection, a hit rate and a matchup that all agree are worth far more than a hunch about a famous player.
Research every prop: the Statz NFL tools
The Props Tool is the prop cheat sheet: every bet365 prop for the week on one page, with the line, both prices, our chance, the hit rates, the matchup and the player's last five games, filtered by game, kickoff window, position and market. Prop Picks lists the best of them.
Hit Rates shows how often each player has gone over this week's line in his last five and ten games and across the season. Streaks lists the players on active runs over a line, such as five straight games with 60+ rushing yards. Stat Finder answers any question of the history, and every player's stat page shows his last ten games against the current line. Our prop research tools guide walks through all of them.
Player props by position
Quarterback props centre on passing yards, passing touchdowns and, for mobile quarterbacks, rushing yards. Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield are passing-yards regulars; Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts have rushing lines that move with game script.
Running back props are carries, rushing yards and receptions: Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson and Christian McCaffrey. Receiver and tight end props are targets, receptions and receiving yards: Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Puka Nacua, Malik Nabers, Brock Bowers and Jake Ferguson.
Player props in same game parlays
Props are the building blocks of same game parlays: a quarterback's passing yards with his top receiver's receptions, or a running back's rushing yards with his team to win. The legs are linked, which is why a same-game slip is priced differently from multiplying the singles together. Our guide to same-game parlays and correlation explains how.
The single game parlays page builds slips from the same projections for each standalone game, and the NFL parlays cover the main slate. Every extra leg adds the bookmaker's margin, so keep parlay stakes small.
Free AI prop picks and NFL Pro
The top prop picks are free every week, along with every player's game log, hit rates, streaks and matchup data. Our chance on every other prop, and the full projections behind them, are part of NFL Pro. The model's very best calls of the week, props included, go out as NFL Best Bets, and every one is graded in public on the Best Bets tracker.
Player props by team
Every team's props page puts its players' lines side by side with their last ten games. AFC: Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Colts, Jaguars, Texans, Titans, Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs and Raiders.
NFC: Commanders, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings, Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers, Saints, 49ers, Cardinals, Rams and Seahawks.
Final word: let the numbers do the reading
There are hundreds of player props on every NFL game and nobody can research them all by hand. AI prop picks do the reading for you, every prop, every day, so you can spend your time on the handful where the projection and the line disagree. Check the role, the matchup and the news, shop for the best price, and keep stakes level.
