Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers and Washington are on a bye, which takes Josh Allen, James Cook and Bhayshul Tuten out of your nine, and Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve. The season-game injury sheet and the value list for the transfers you have left, with gameweek 8's byes in view.
Four byes, and what they do to your nine
Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers and Washington are on a bye in gameweek 7. For a season squad that means Josh Allen (£21.7m, 405 projected points for the season), James Cook III (£19.5m, 423), Bhayshul Tuten (£13.0m, 344), Parker Washington (£16.9m, 297) and Brenton Strange (£13.0m, 200) score nothing this week, along with every Charger and every Commander. A player on a bye is the one zero the safety net cannot replace, which is the rule on the how to play FanTeam page. Two of them in your nine and you take the zero. Three or more and the question is which of the three has the best week-eight price.
Gameweek 8 takes out Houston, New Orleans, the Giants and San Francisco, which matters for who you buy now: Isaiah Likely, Malik Nabers, Tyler Shough, Brock Purdy and George Kittle all have a gameweek-8 bye, so a transfer for any of them this week is a transfer for one week. Last week's byes were Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami and Minnesota; if you bought Gibbs or Aaron Jones back, they play this week. Check the schedule before every transfer from here.
The injury sheet: Hurts is out for the season
The biggest name on the list is Jalen Hurts, £20.5m, on injured reserve with a calf injury and expected to miss the rest of the season: sell him with the first transfer you have, because the safety net does not help a player who does not dress for months. Also on injured reserve: De'Von Achane (£18.3m), Jaxson Dart (£18.0m) and Davante Adams (£17.7m, listed as resting). Out: Terry McLaurin (£16.5m, hamstring), though Washington are on a bye anyway. Questionable: Lamar Jackson (£20.0m, ankle), Baker Mayfield (£19.0m, thumb), Saquon Barkley (£18.1m, hamstring), Breece Hall (£18.0m, quadricep), A.J. Brown (£17.5m, ankle), Tyler Warren (£17.0m, groin), DJ Moore (£16.7m, shoulder), David Montgomery (£16.7m, groin), Rashee Rice (£16.5m, hamstring), Ladd McConkey (£16.5m, foot), Quinshon Judkins (£16.0m, ankle) and Jordan Addison (£15.0m, hamstring). Marcus Mariota (£15.4m, knee) is doubtful.
The gameweek locks on Thursday night, so for anyone owned in a Sunday game the safety net is the plan: if he does not dress, the bench replaces him. The ones to decide before Thursday are the Thursday game's own players, New England and Chicago, where A.J. Brown is the name.
- Sell: Jalen Hurts — QB, PHI · £20.5m · injured reserve, calf — at £20.5m — Expected to miss the season. Brock Purdy at £18.4m projects 327 and frees £2.1m, though San Francisco have a gameweek-8 bye. Game preview
- Check: Lamar Jackson — QB, BAL · £20.0m · questionable, ankle — at £20.0m — Questionable again. The safety net catches a scratch. Game preview
