FanTeam NFL Gameweek 6: Four Byes, Six Weekly Contests, and the Value List

Published October 15, 2026 by Statz NFL.

Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami and Minnesota are on a bye, which takes Gibbs, Burrow, Chase and Aaron Jones out of your nine. The six FanTeam contests this week with the Statz optimiser's lineups, the injury sheet, and the value list for the transfers you have left, with gameweek 7's byes in view.

Four byes, and what they do to your nine

Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami and Minnesota are on a bye in gameweek 6. For a season squad that means Jahmyr Gibbs (£21.7m, 479 projected points for the season), Amon-Ra St. Brown (£20.1m), Sam LaPorta (£15.6m), Joe Burrow (£19.0m), Ja'Marr Chase (£20.8m), Tee Higgins (£18.5m), Chase Brown (£19.0m), Justin Jefferson (£19.1m), Aaron Jones Sr. (£11.0m), T.J. Hockenson and both defences, Minnesota (£8.8m) and Cincinnati (£7.7m), score nothing this week. A player on a bye is the one zero the safety net cannot replace, which is the rule on the how to play FanTeam page, so the question is how many of them you own. One or two and you take the zero. Three or more and you spend a transfer on the one with the best week-seven price, because every transfer is a bet on next week as well as this one.

The next byes are already on the calendar and they matter for who you buy: gameweek 7 takes out Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers and Washington. That includes Bhayshul Tuten, James Cook III, Josh Allen and Parker Washington, four of the best-value names on the list below, and Jayden Daniels, so a transfer for any of them is a transfer for one week only. Check the schedule before every transfer from here.

Six contests, and the one number to know in each

FanTeam run six one-off contests this week alongside the season game, and the Statz optimiser builds a lineup for each. Four are six-player single-game contests with a captain at 1.5 times and a vice-captain at 1.2 times who costs 1.2 times his price: Broncos v Seahawks on Thursday for £86m, Jaguars v Texans in London for £84m, Packers v Cowboys on Sunday night for £95m and 49ers v Commanders on Monday night for £89m. Two are nine-player classic lineups: the Sunday RedZone for £116m and the Sunday Fumble over the three late games for £109m, three players per club in both.

The number to know: Derrick Henry projects at 22.1 points in Cleveland at £15.5m, 1.43 points per £1m, the best value among the backs on the RedZone board, and James Cook III is next at 21.3 for £16.2m. Both are in the optimiser's RedZone lineup. The highest projection anywhere is Josh Allen at 23.1 at £22.0m, in Las Vegas; the best on a single-game board is Christian McCaffrey at 21.0 on Monday night and Jaxon Smith-Njigba at 21.0 on Thursday.

The model's lineups

Thursday: Jaxon Smith-Njigba captain (£19.2m, 21.0 projected), Bo Nix vice-captain (£13.9m, 15.0), Sam Darnold (£13.8m, 13.7), Emanuel Wilson (£13.0m, 12.9), Jaylen Waddle (£11.8m, 10.9) and J.K. Dobbins (£9.4m, 10.4), 97.4 projected points for £83.9m. London: Trevor Lawrence captain (£17.0m, 17.0), C.J. Stroud vice-captain (£14.6m, 15.8), Bhayshul Tuten (£12.2m, 15.3), Nico Collins (£16.4m, 15.0), Parker Washington (£14.5m, 14.6) and Xavier Hutchinson (£5.5m, 7.5), 96.9 for £83.1m; Hutchinson is the cheapest seat and the best value in the pool at 1.36 per £1m. Sunday night: Dak Prescott captain (£16.9m, 17.0), CeeDee Lamb vice-captain (£17.6m, 16.8), Javonte Williams, Christian Watson, Matthew Golden and Ryan Flournoy, 100.2 for £94.9m. Monday night: Christian McCaffrey captain (£18.7m, 21.0), Treylon Burks at £4.9m as the vice-captain, Jayden Daniels (£15.8m, 20.1, 1.27 per £1m), Brock Purdy, Mike Evans and George Kittle, 109.6 for £89.0m; the optimiser uses the cheapest seat in the pool as its vice-captain to afford the stars.

The RedZone: Jalen Hurts (£15.2m, 17.8), Derrick Henry (£15.5m, 22.1), Braelon Allen (£8.8m, 13.5), Chris Olave (£16.9m, 16.8, questionable), Michael Wilson (£13.5m, 16.1), Efton Chism III (£8.2m, 11.3), Trey McBride (£15.5m, 18.4), James Cook III in the flex (£16.2m, 21.3) and the Chargers defence (£6.2m, 5.5), 142.8 projected points for the full £116.0m. The Fumble: Justin Herbert (£13.1m, 15.0), Cook, Jeremiyah Love (£11.0m, 13.0, questionable), Michael Wilson, Xavier Worthy (£10.9m, 10.8), DJ Moore (£6.5m, 8.7), McBride, Ashton Jeanty in the flex (£13.4m, 15.9) and the Rams defence (£8.5m, 6.5), 125.7 for £108.6m. Cook, McBride and Michael Wilson are in both.

  • RedZone: Derrick Henry — RB, BAL · £15.5m · 22.1 projected — at £15.5m — The best value among the backs on the board. Projected at 124 rushing yards; Lamar Jackson's ankle is the caveat on the game. Game preview
  • Monday night: Jayden Daniels — QB, WSH · £15.8m · 20.1 projected — at £15.8m — A quarterback who runs, in a game the model has Washington losing by ten. Game preview
  • London: Xavier Hutchinson — WR, HOU · £5.5m · 7.5 projected — at £5.5m — The cheapest seat on the board and the best value in the pool. Game preview

The season game: nineteen names

The injury sheet is shorter at the top than last week and still long. Out: Josh Jacobs (£18.5m). Injured reserve: De'Von Achane (£18.3m), Jaxson Dart (£18.0m) and A.J. Brown (£17.5m, designated to return). Doubtful: Baker Mayfield (£19.0m, thumb), Breece Hall (£18.0m), David Montgomery (£16.9m, groin) and Marcus Mariota (£15.4m, knee). Questionable: Caleb Williams (£20.6m, hamstring), Lamar Jackson (£20.0m, ankle), Chris Olave (£18.5m), Saquon Barkley (£18.1m, hamstring), Brock Bowers (£18.0m, knee), DeVonta Smith (£18.0m, hamstring), Stefon Diggs (£17.0m, hamstring), DJ Moore (£16.7m, shoulder), Rashee Rice (£16.5m, hamstring), Ladd McConkey (£16.5m, foot) and Quinshon Judkins (£16.0m, ankle).

The gameweek locks on Thursday night, so for anyone owned in a Sunday game the safety net is the plan: if he does not dress, the bench replaces him. Achane and Dart are zeros for weeks and should already be gone; Mayfield and Hall are the two to look at first: both are doubtful, which means a zero unless the Friday report says otherwise.

  • Sell: Baker Mayfield — QB, TB · £19.0m · doubtful, thumb — at £19.0m — Daniels starts again for Tampa Bay. Brock Purdy at £18.4m projects 328 and frees £0.6m. Game preview
  • Hold and check: Lamar Jackson — QB, BAL · £20.0m · questionable, ankle — at £20.0m — The bye does not help him; the Friday report does. The safety net catches a scratch. Game preview

The value list for the transfers you have left

Few prices have moved: CeeDee Lamb is up from £19.1m to £19.2m and Carnell Tate from £10.0m to £10.1m, and the rest of the names we track are where they were. Running back: Bhayshul Tuten at £13.0m projects 335 points, 25.8 per £1m, the best value on the whole list for a third week running and the projection up again; Aaron Jones Sr. at £11.0m is 23.3 and on a bye; Kenneth Walker III at £19.2m projects 429 (22.3) at home against the winless Chargers; Bucky Irving at £15.0m projects 328, up from 302 last week (21.8); James Cook III at £19.5m 412 (21.1), Derrick Henry at £19.6m 407 (20.7) and Braelon Allen at £8.0m 164 (20.5).

Receiver: Denzel Boston at £9.2m projects 184, 20.0 per £1m, with a questionable foot; Kalif Raymond at £9.7m 191 (19.6); Carnell Tate at £10.1m 191 (18.9); Malik Nabers at £13.8m 253 (18.3); Jaxon Smith-Njigba at £22.2m 396 (17.8), the best receiver projection on the list; Parker Washington at £16.8m 299 (17.8); Christian Watson at £17.1m 288 (16.9). Quarterback: Josh Allen at £21.7m projects 416 (19.2), Brock Purdy at £18.4m 328 (17.8), Tyler Shough at £16.1m 286 (17.7), Bryce Young at £16.7m 294 (17.6). Tight end: Isaiah Likely at £11.7m projects 288, 24.6 per £1m, up from 255 last week, the best tight end by eight points; Trey McBride at £19.0m 313 (16.5), Brenton Strange at £13.0m 203 (15.6), Tyler Higbee at £9.6m 149 (15.5). Defence: San Francisco at £7.5m (109, 14.5) host Washington on Monday; the Jets at £7.0m (99, 14.1) and Pittsburgh at £8.6m (120, 13.9) follow.

  • Isaiah Likely — TE, NYG · £11.7m · 288 projected — at £11.7m — The best tight end value by eight points. The Giants host the Saints on Sunday and the model has Likely at 70 receiving yards against a line of 49.5. Game preview
  • Kenneth Walker III — RB, KC · £19.2m · 429 projected — at £19.2m — At home against the winless Chargers; Kansas City's bye was last week. Game preview
  • Bhayshul Tuten — RB, JAX · £13.0m · 335 projected — at £13.0m — The best value on the list, but Jacksonville are on a bye in gameweek 7. Game preview
