Fantasy GameDay Week 6: Five Ballers Captains, the Stars Lineup and the Cheap Seats

Every Week 6 contest on Fantasy GameDay from their salary file: the captains for Thursday, London, Cardinals-Rams, Sunday night and Monday night, the Stars and Classic lineups for the nine-game Sunday slate, and the minimum-salary names the projection rates.

The week's contests

Fantasy GameDay's Week 6 file covers all fourteen games. Five are Ballers contests, each a five-player lineup for £25,000 with a non-quarterback captain at 1.5 times and four superflex seats: Seahawks at Broncos on Thursday, Texans at Jaguars in London, Cardinals at Rams on Sunday afternoon, Cowboys at Packers on Sunday night and Commanders at 49ers on Monday night. The other nine games make up the Sunday slate: the Stars (£45,000, a captain plus a full lineup) and the Classic (no captain, two flexes). Full PPR, four-point passing touchdowns.

The file prices every player on the roster, and this week the optimiser board carries no one who is out: Josh Jacobs, Joe Mixon, De'Von Achane and the rest are gone, and the two doubtful players still priced, Baker Mayfield at £5,000 and Breece Hall at £5,400, have no projection. The projection is the weekly matchup number on the Fantasy GameDay optimiser, which also has every lineup below in full.

Ballers, Thursday: Seahawks at Broncos

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the captain at £8,400: 21 projected points, 31.5 as captain, in a game with a 40.1 model total. The optimiser's five is Smith-Njigba, Bo Nix (£6,000, 15.0), Emanuel Wilson (£3,800, 12.9), Jaylen Waddle (£4,000, 10.9) and AJ Barner at £2,600 for 8.6, £24,800 and 78.9 projected. The cheap seats are Wilson at 3.39 points per £1,000, Barner at 3.31 and J.K. Dobbins at £3,600 for 10.4. The Seahawks at Broncos preview has the game.

Ballers, London and the Rams

London is a Bhayshul Tuten game. He is the captain at £4,200, projected at 15.3 points, which is 3.64 per £1,000 and 23 as captain for the cost of a bench player, and the rest of the lineup is built around what that saves: C.J. Stroud (£6,600, 15.8), Nico Collins (£6,400, 15.0), Woody Marks (£3,800, 10.9) and Brenton Strange (£3,400, 10.0), £24,400 and 74.7 projected. Trevor Lawrence at £7,400 projects 17.0 and is the quarterback if you want a Jacksonville stack; Xavier Hutchinson at £2,800 for 7.5 is the cheap punt. The Texans at Jaguars preview has the game.

Cardinals at Rams is the Sunday-afternoon Ballers, a Trey McBride game. He is the captain at £5,800, 18.4 projected and 27.6 as captain, and the optimiser builds around him: Matthew Stafford (£7,200, 18.5), Michael Wilson (£4,400, 16.1, the best value in the pool at 3.66), Jeremiyah Love (£4,800, 13.0, questionable) and Tyler Allgeier at £2,800 for 7.8, exactly £25,000 and 83.0 projected. Puka Nacua (£7,800, 20.3) and Kyren Williams (£7,800, 19.4) are the two the lineup cannot afford with McBride, and with Marvin Harrison Jr. out the Arizona receiver the model likes is Wilson. If Love is ruled out, Allgeier is the lead back and the £4,800 he frees goes on a second Ram.

Ballers, Sunday night and Monday night

Cowboys at Packers is the lowest-scoring Ballers pool on the board, which makes captain choice the whole game. CeeDee Lamb is the captain at £7,000, 16.8 projected and 25.2 as captain, with Matthew Golden (£5,200, 14.1), George Pickens (£5,600, 13.9), Tucker Kraft (£3,600, 10.6) and MarShawn Lloyd (£3,600, 10.3), £25,000 and 74.1 projected. The optimiser takes no quarterback: Dak Prescott at £7,200 (17.0) and Jordan Love at £7,200 (15.7) cost more than the receivers they would replace. Kraft and Lloyd are the value at 2.94 and 2.86 per £1,000. The Cowboys at Packers preview has the game.

Commanders at 49ers is the best Ballers pool of the week. Christian McCaffrey is the captain at £7,400, 21.0 projected and 31.5 as captain, and the optimiser has the money for Jayden Daniels at £6,600 (20.1, 3.05 per £1,000), George Kittle at £4,200 (16.5, 3.93, the best value on the board), Terry McLaurin at £4,200 (10.3) and Chig Okonkwo at £2,400 (6.8), £24,800 and 85.2 projected, the highest of the five. Mike Evans at £5,800 (17.2) is the expensive alternative to McLaurin. The Commanders at 49ers preview has the game.

Sunday: the Stars and Classic lineups

The nine-game slate is Henry and Cook. The optimiser's Stars lineup spends the full £45,000 for 151.0 projected: Derrick Henry as captain (£8,200, 22.1 projected, 33.2 with the multiplier), Josh Allen at quarterback (£8,200, 23.1), James Cook III (£7,200, 21.3) and Bijan Robinson (£8,000, 20.9) at running back, Devaughn Vele (£3,200, 11.7) and Efton Chism III (£2,200, 11.3) at receiver, Braelon Allen at flex (£3,400, 13.5) and Isaiah Likely at tight end (£4,600, 16.1). The Classic is the same eight without a captain for 140.0.

The shape is three cheap seats paying for four stars: Chism at 5.14 points per £1,000, Allen at 3.97 and Vele at 3.66 fund Allen, Cook, Henry and Bijan. Lamar Jackson is questionable; if you would rather not captain a Raven, Kenneth Walker III at £8,600 (20.7) is the alternative. The value under £3,000 on the slate: Chism (5.14), Dameon Pierce at £2,200 (4.09), KC Concepcion at £2,600 (4.08), Kalif Raymond at £2,800 (3.96), Alvin Kamara at £2,800 (3.75), Cade Otton at £2,600 (3.69) and Mark Andrews at £2,800 (3.54).

The verdict

Tuten at £4,200, Kittle at £4,200 and Chism at £2,200 are the three prices the model likes most, and each unlocks a lineup the others cannot afford. Captain Henry on Sunday and McCaffrey on Monday, and watch Jackson, Love and Mariota's knee: all three change a lineup. Inactives drop 90 minutes before each kick-off.
