After 5 games of the 2026/27 season, Hull City have collected more yellow cards than any other Premier League side at 3.6 a game. Coventry City have the fewest at 0.8.
The more useful finding is underneath that. Hull City do not foul the most, or anywhere near it. They commit 10.2 fouls a game, which is mid-table, and are booked once every 2.8 fouls. Coventry City get a card once every 14.8. Cards do not follow fouls, and that gap is the whole page.

| 19 | Tottenham Hotspur | 1 | 13 | 5 |
| 20 | Coventry City | 0.8 | 11.8 | 4 |
Hull City lead at 3.6 a game, 189 yellow cards having been shown across the division so far. Nottingham Forest commit the most fouls at 14.6 a game and sit 3th for cards, which is the first sign that the two columns are measuring different things.
How many fouls it takes to get booked
| Team | Fouls | Cards | Per card |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hull City | 10.2 | 3.6 | 2.8 |
| AFC Bournemouth | 11.8 | 2.8 | 4.2 |
| Everton | 8 | 1.8 | 4.4 |
| Chelsea | 8.6 | 1.8 | 4.8 |
| Newcastle United | 12.2 | 2.4 | 5.1 |
| … 10 teams in between … | |||
| Crystal Palace | 9.6 | 1.2 | 8.0 |
| Manchester United | 9.8 | 1.2 | 8.2 |
| Manchester City | 10.6 | 1.2 | 8.8 |
| Tottenham Hotspur | 13 | 1 | 13.0 |
| Coventry City | 11.8 | 0.8 | 14.8 |
Divide one column by the other and the spread is far wider than either on its own. Hull City are booked once every 2.8 fouls. Coventry City once every 14.8, and Tottenham Hotspur once every 13.0. That is a five-fold difference in how a foul turns into a booking, between teams playing the same fixtures under the same officials.
Some of it is where the fouls happen and how late they are. Some of it is reputation. A good deal of it, at 5 games, is noise. But it is the column that actually separates teams, and the raw card count does not.

This is the thinnest board on the page and it is worth saying so. 5 games in, the leader has 3 yellow cards and nine players are tied on two, so a single booking next weekend reorders most of it. There have been 6 red cards in the division all season, to Taiwo Awoniyi and Axel Disasi and Reinildo Mandava and Phil Foden and João Gomes and Issahaku Fatawu.
Come back to this one after a dozen rounds. The team boards above are already telling you something; this one is not yet.
Team card totals are a priced market and this is the board that feeds them. The thing to take from it is that the fouls column is the wrong input on its own: a side can commit fourteen fouls a game and be among the least booked in the division, and another can commit ten and lead it.
The honest caveat is one we have written about before. Our own bookings model does not read the referee, and the referee is a large part of what this page is measuring. A fixture with a strict official and a side that already converts fouls into cards quickly is exactly the combination our numbers underrate.
The companion board is the most fouled players in the Premier League, which is the same idea from the other side: who draws the fouls that become these cards. Live per-fixture lines are on the Statz Bet Builder, and the full team board is on the Premier League team stats page.
