FPL Targets: which positions score against each team

Defences leak by position

One club gets run ragged down its left; another shuts out wingers but lets midfielders arrive late and score. This page maps the FPL points every club concedes to each opposition slot - goalkeeper to striker - indexed against the league average so genuine weaknesses stand out from normal traffic.

This week's targets

The weekly list crosses each club's leakiest positions with the next round of fixtures and names the opposing players in that slot - a ready-made shortlist of matchup-driven transfers and captaincy punts, refreshed as the fixtures roll.

FPL Targets: frequently asked questions

What does this page show?

How many FPL points each club concedes to every opposition position - what left-backs score against Chelsea, what right-wingers do to Fulham - on the pitch map and in the table, indexed against the league average for that position so real weaknesses stand out.

How do I use it to pick transfers?

Start with the weekly targets: each card pairs a club's leakiest position with their next opponent and names the players in that slot. A right-winger facing the league's most generous defence to right-wingers is a ready-made transfer or captaincy punt - check his own record on his player profile before committing.

What does the index number mean?

It compares a club's points conceded per game to a position against the league average for that position. 1.00× is normal traffic; 1.30× means they leak thirty per cent more than average to that slot; below 0.85× they shut it down.

Where do the positions come from?

Each scorer's actual lineup slot in that fixture - so a midfielder who scored while playing right-wing counts against the defence's right side. Rare slots that few teams use (wingers in some systems, holding mids) stay on the pitch map but are excluded from the weekly targets to avoid tiny-sample noise.

Is this last season's data?

Until the new season has played its first rounds, the conceded numbers come from the last completed season while the fixtures are this season's - the page captions this. It flips to live data automatically as gameweeks finish.
