Giants at Eagles Preview: Week 9 Sunday Picks, Odds and Projections

Published November 5, 2026 by Statz NFL.

The Giants lead the NFC East and the market has them by 3.5 at the Eagles, who have lost six in a row. The model calls it level. The numbers, props and slips for Giants at Eagles.

A level game in the model, 3.5 in the market

The Giants visit the Eagles on Sunday, kick-off 6pm UK time, 1pm Eastern, at Lincoln Financial Field, open air, on grass. New York are 4-2-1 and top the NFC East after a 27-21 win over Houston, which followed a 34-27 loss to New Orleans and a 27-27 tie with Washington. Philadelphia are 2-6, fourth in the division, and have lost six in a row, never scoring more than 21 in that run; they lost 27-10 to Washington last week. With Jalen Hurts and Jaxson Dart both on injured reserve, the quarterbacks in the model are Joe Milton and J.J. McCarthy. The market has the Giants by 3.5 at a total of 38.5. The full picture is on the game page.

The series is Philadelphia 4-2, 3-0 at home, with 3-3 against the number and an average total of 44.7. The last three: the Eagles won 38-20 in Week 8 of 2025 as seven-point home favourites; the Giants won 34-17 at home in Week 6 with Philadelphia seven-point road favourites; and the Eagles won 20-13 in Week 18 of 2024, favoured by three. The last two played well over their lines of 43.5 and 40.5, and this one is set at 38.5. On the season, Philadelphia score 17.1 a game, 30th, gain 4.7 yards a play, 32nd, and manage 16.1 first downs, 31st. New York score 23.3, 13th, and allow 320.3 yards a game, sixth, and 192.1 through the air, third. The Eagles stats and Giants stats pages carry the rest.

Where the game is won

The matchup grid is the Giants' on all four lines. Their rushing into the Eagles' run defence is a 78% edge and their passing a 60% one, while Philadelphia passing into New York's defence is an 81% Giants edge, the largest number on the grid, and Philadelphia rushing a 54% one. The Eagles allow 131.9 rushing yards a game, 28th. Neither side has been getting home to the passer: New York have nine sacks, 31st, and Philadelphia ten, 29th. The model still has the game level, so the grid and the score are not telling the same story.

Philadelphia's report is the longer one. Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith are both questionable with hamstrings, Dontayvion Wicks with an ankle and Britain Covey with a knee, and Lane Johnson is out. For New York, Cam Skattebo is questionable with a hamstring, Andrew Thomas with a groin, Charlie Jones with a hand and Jermaine Eluemunor with a calf, and Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Wan'Dale Robinson are on injured reserve. The model has Barkley at 16.8 carries and 82 rushing yards and Skattebo at 13.7 and 58.7, so both backs are the names to check. The injury table and the Eagles depth chart update until kick-off.

The model's number

The model has New York 20.7, Philadelphia 20.5, a 41.2 total, and a coin flip: the Eagles 49.6%, the Giants 50.4%. The market has the Giants by 3.5. The Eagles plus 3.5 at 1.87 on Kalshi is a 56.7% call against 53.5% implied, four stars, a half-point bet. The Eagles on the moneyline at 2.67 on Kalshi is 43.6% against 37.5%, three stars, a quarter of a point; the card uses a lower number than the headline 49.6%, which is the cautious reading. The Giants at minus three at 1.909 on FanDuel are 46.9% against 50.0%, no stars. This is an underdog call on a team that has lost six in a row, so the stakes stay where they are.

The total is the other gap. The model's 41.2 is 2.7 above the 38.5 line, and the over at 1.943 on Kalshi is 53.3% against 51.5%, two stars: a lean, not a bet. Both teams' records against the line are on the Giants ATS and Eagles ATS pages.

  • Eagles +3.5 v the Giants — Spread, NYG @ PHI, Sun 6pm UK / 1pm ET — at 1.87 — The model has the game level. A 3.2-point edge, with a six-game losing run behind the Eagles. Game preview
  • Eagles to win — Moneyline, NYG @ PHI, Sun 6pm UK / 1pm ET — at 2.67 — A 44% shot at about 5/3. Game preview

Scorers, props and the slips

Isaiah Likely at 3.10 is the biggest gap on the scorer board, a 45.1% call against 32.3% implied, 12.8 points. We have no projection line for him, so treat that as a flag and not a price. Saquon Barkley at 2.15 is 46.6%, level with the price, and Cam Skattebo at 2.10 is 45.2%, 2.4 short. Malik Nabers at 2.70 is 34.9%, 2.1 short, DeVonta Smith at 2.85 is 30.9%, 4.2 short, and Dallas Goedert at 3.30 is 31.4%, 1.1 over.

The props point at a run-first Eagles game. Barkley over 55.5 rushing yards at 1.86 is projected at 82, 26.5 above the line, and over 13.5 carries at 1.83 is projected at 16.8. His receiving is the other side: under 9.5 yards at 1.90 is projected at 8.1, and under 1.5 receptions at 2.25 at 1.2. Milton is at 3.2 carries against a line of 5.5, and Skattebo at 13.7 against 16.5. Both backs are questionable with hamstrings, so the Barkley stake is a quarter. The rushing line is a 21.7-point edge on the over, far past the eight points where we treat a number as a flag, so it may reflect news the model has not seen. Malachi Fields over 24.5 receiving yards at 1.86 is projected at 36.7, a 59.8% over, with no star rating.

Three slips are listed. Second Receiver Ceiling at 31.81 has Fields over 24.5 yards and over 3.5 receptions with McCarthy over 274.5 passing yards, the model at 10.8% against 3.1% implied, 0.15 of a point, and the biggest of the three. Blowup Total at 81.20 adds Smith and Nabers to score, Milton over 224.5 passing yards and McCarthy over 216.5, 4.0% against 1.2%. Throwing Festival at 73.91 has Fields over 49.5 yards with Milton over 249.5 and McCarthy over 274.5, 3.7% against 1.4%. The last two are a tenth of a point each. The singles want Barkley running 16.8 times and Milton throwing for 199.1; the slips want Milton at 224.5 and 249.5 and McCarthy 44 yards over his 230.1. The slips are scripts. The Barkley lines are lines.

  • Joe Milton under 5.5 carries — QB, PHI — at 1.86 — Projected 3.2 carries. Game preview
  • Saquon Barkley over 55.5 rushing yards — RB, PHI — at 1.86 — Projected 82 yards. Questionable with a hamstring, so the stake stays small. Game preview
  • Cam Skattebo under 16.5 carries — RB, NYG — at 1.95 — Projected 13.7 carries. Questionable with a hamstring. Game preview

The verdict

The model has the game level and the market has the Giants by 3.5, and the question is whether a Philadelphia side that has not scored more than 21 in six games can keep it close. The case for the Eagles is the number and a model that sees no gap between the sides. The case against is the form, and a grid that goes the Giants' way on every line. Half a point on Philadelphia plus 3.5, a quarter on the moneyline, and the props as small positions once the hamstrings are known. The news to watch is Barkley, Smith and Skattebo.
