Six names on the list, two different problems
The split is clean. Of the 6 players listed, 3 are Out: Porzingis (expected back 1 Dec), Butler (2 Jan) and Moody (1 Dec). The other 3, Santos, Horford and Williams, are Day-to-Day, all with an expected return of 5 Nov.
That matters because a list of six reads the same whether a player is missing a night or a quarter of a season. The expected return dates are the part that separates them. A 5 Nov date means the player could be back for the next game. A 1 Dec or 2 Jan date means the rotation has to work without that player for the foreseeable future.
The rest of this piece takes the two groups in turn, then looks at what the available players are producing.
The long-term absences: Porzingis, Moody and Butler
Three players are listed Out, each with a return date well beyond the next game. The table sets out the status and expected return exactly as the injury page gives them.
The page's recovery notes add detail without changing those dates: one player has progressed to individual court work but still has several rehabilitation milestones to clear, and the 24-year-old still has several recovery checkpoints to complete, with no official timetable from Golden State.
Warriors players listed Out
Status and expected return date from the full list with expected return dates, updated Tuesday 3 November at 10:40 PM ET.
| Player | Status | Expected return |
|---|---|---|
| Kristaps Porzingis | Out | 1 Dec |
| Jimmy Butler | Out | 2 Jan |
| Moses Moody | Out | 1 Dec |
Butler's return date: 2 Jan
Jimmy Butler is listed Out with an expected return of 2 Jan. The page's reporting says he could return sometime between January and February as he recovers from a torn right ACL, that he has progressed to individual court work, and that no official return date has been announced. His next step involves landing comfortably after a game-speed jump.
That is about 2 months from the 4 Nov date of this article to the listed return. Nothing in that timeline bears on the next game.
Porzingis and Moody: both 1 Dec
Porzingis and Moody share the same listed return of 1 Dec, but the page describes them very differently. Moody, who ruptured his left patellar tendon in March, is progressing toward a potential return between December and January, and team sources indicate he is ahead of Butler in rehabilitation and expected back before him.
Porzingis is a different case. The page says he remains away from the team indefinitely with ongoing health concerns, that Golden State is not expecting him to rejoin anytime soon, and that there is no timetable for his return. The 1 Dec date sits on the list, but the reporting beside it is far less settled than Moody's.
The Day-to-Day trio: Santos, Horford and Williams
Three players share a 5 Nov expected return, which makes them the group that decides how the rotation looks against Miami. Day-to-Day means the answer is still open. The page's own wording for Williams is that his status for the next game is still open.
A note on dates: the Monday and Thursday references below come from the page's own reporting and are repeated as the page gives them.
Brandon Williams: quad contusion and the back-to-back
Brandon Williams is listed with a left quad contusion. The page says he was held out of the second leg of the back-to-back and ruled out for Monday's game against the Suns. His next chance to play comes Thursday against Miami.
The same report says Will Richard and De'Anthony Melton could see a bump in minutes in Williams' absence. Williams is the most relevant of the three for the next game, because he is the one the page ties directly to the Miami date.
Gui Santos: the knee, and Sunday's 124-112 win over the Clippers
Gui Santos did not play the second half of Sunday's 124-112 win over the Clippers because of a knee injury, and the page says he will not play against the Suns on Monday. He picked the knee injury up in preseason action in mid-October and was initially tagged questionable for Sunday before being cleared.
The page quotes head coach Steve Kerr saying the Warriors need "to get [Santos] right," and adds that an absence beyond Monday is possible. Georges Niang and Al Horford both figure to see an uptick in playing time in Santos' absence.
Al Horford: rested on the back-to-back
Al Horford was rested for the second leg of the back-to-back against the Suns, which the page describes as expected.
His listing is a rest-and-management question as much as a health one, which is part of why Day-to-Day belongs in a different bucket from Out.
What the healthy rotation produces
The three Out players have no per-game figures on the page this season, so the numbers below describe the players who have played. Across 6 games, Stephen Curry averages 30.0 points in 28.8 minutes on 46.8% shooting and 42.9% from three. Behind him, Yaxel Lendeborg averages 21.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in 31.9 minutes over 8 games, and Brandin Podziemski averages 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 33.4 minutes over 6 games.
The table lists the available players below the Day-to-Day group by points per game, using the figures on the page. For the full rotation view, the Warriors depth chart shows how the roster is arranged.

Available Warriors, per-game averages
Games played, minutes and points from the Warriors roster page figures, at the time of writing.
| Player | Games | Min | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stephen Curry | 6 | 28.8 | 30.0 |
| Yaxel Lendeborg | 8 | 31.9 | 21.5 |
| Brandin Podziemski | 6 | 33.4 | 17.0 |
| De'Anthony Melton | 8 | 22.9 | 10.6 |
| Georges Niang | 8 | 19.9 | 7.3 |
| Charles Bassey | 6 | 11.4 | 6.8 |
| Graham Ike | 6 | 11.1 | 5.8 |
| Gary Payton II | 8 | 13.8 | 4.6 |
| Will Richard | 8 | 18.0 | 4.6 |
Curry, Lendeborg and Podziemski carry the scoring
The three leaders also carry the minutes. Podziemski is first on the team at 33.4 a game, Lendeborg second at 31.9 and Curry third at 28.8. Together they average 30.0 + 21.5 + 17.0 = 68.5 points per game.
The depth behind them is spread thin on the scoring side. De'Anthony Melton averages 10.6 points and shoots 46.3% from three over 8 games, Georges Niang 7.3 points, and Charles Bassey 6.8 points on 64.0% shooting in 11.4 minutes. Graham Ike adds 5.8 points, and Gary Payton II and Will Richard each add 4.6.
How much the three Day-to-Day players actually contribute
The trio's output is modest next to the leaders, which is the point of separating them from the long-term list. Williams averages 11.6 points in 17.4 minutes on 38.1% shooting over 7 games, the fourth-highest scoring average on the roster. Santos averages 7.2 points in 20.1 minutes on 48.4% shooting over 6 games. Horford averages 5.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 18.7 minutes over 6 games.
Combined, that is 11.6 + 7.2 + 5.0 = 23.8 points per game spread across three players. They are rotation depth, with Williams the one whose scoring figure stands out.
The Day-to-Day trio, per-game averages
All three are listed with a 5 Nov expected return.
| Player | Games | Min | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brandon Williams | 7 | 17.4 | 11.6 |
| Gui Santos | 6 | 20.1 | 7.2 |
| Al Horford | 6 | 18.7 | 5.0 |
Miami's list is shorter: Gardner and Antetokounmpo
Golden State lists 6 players and Miami lists 2, so the two sides arrive at the Warriors v Heat game preview with different injury pictures. Counting by type, the Warriors have 3 players Out for a month or more and the Heat have none. For the current picture of who is out for the Warriors right now, check the page itself, which updates through the day.
One caution on dates: the page's reporting for both Miami players cites a Wednesday game against the Clippers. The statuses are carried over to the Warriors game only as the page states them, so look for an update closer to Thursday's tip.
Gardner questionable, Antetokounmpo probable
Myron Gardner is Questionable with a right quadriceps contusion. The page says he is in danger of missing his fourth contest of the 2026-27 campaign, but he has logged three minutes or less in his four regular-season games, so his absence would not have much of an effect on the rotation.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is Probable with a sprained right wrist on his shooting hand. The page says it does not appear he has any intention of sitting out, and to check back closer to tipoff for official confirmation.

Six names on an injury report looks like a crisis. It is really two separate problems. Three Warriors are Out for weeks, and three are listed Day-to-Day with the same 5 Nov expected return. Only one of those groups touches the next game.
The Golden State Warriors injury report lists Kristaps Porzingis, Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody as Out, and Gui Santos, Al Horford and Brandon Williams as Day-to-Day.
