Sorted by games first. Difficulty is fantasy points conceded to All positions, rated one (hardest) to five (softest) across the league.
The single biggest lever in NBA fantasy is how often your players take the court. Across a season a team-week ranges from one game to five. A four-game week is worth roughly twice a two-game week regardless of the opponents, which is why the number of games sits first in every cell, ahead of the matchup rating. Back-to-backs are shown alongside because they are where stars get rested, so a four-game week containing two of them is not quite the gift the count suggests. Difficulty is rated one to five on fantasy points conceded to each position group last season, so a centre and a guard reading the same fixture can get different answers.
Frequently asked
Because production is per game. A player averaging thirty fantasy points gives you ninety in a three-game week and a hundred and twenty in a four-game week. No matchup advantage on the board is worth as much as that extra outing.
One to five on how many fantasy points that opponent conceded to the position group last season, split into league quintiles. Five is the softest draw, one the toughest.
Teams rest veterans and players returning from injury on the second night of a back-to-back. A week with two of them carries real risk that a headline star only plays some of it.
Last completed season game logs, attributed to the defending team. Once the new season has enough games played it becomes the better source.

Quick answers3 questions
Which NBA team plays the most games in the next 4 fantasy weeks?
Boston Celtics, with 15 games between 26 Oct to 22 Nov and 3 of them on the second night of a back-to-back. The heaviest schedules are Boston Celtics (15 games, 3 back-to-backs), New Orleans Pelicans (15 games, 3 back-to-backs), Cleveland Cavaliers (15 games, 3 back-to-backs). At the other end Charlotte Hornets plays 12.
Why do games per week matter so much in NBA fantasy?
Because production is per game and the schedule is uneven. A team-week runs from one game to five, so a player averaging 30 fantasy points returns 90 in a three-game week and 120 in a four-game week. No matchup edge on the board is worth as much as that extra outing.
How is matchup difficulty rated?
Every opponent is rated one to five on the fantasy points it conceded per game to each position group in 2026-27. Points are attributed to the defending team and the league is split into quintiles. Five is the softest draw, one the toughest, and the position filter changes the answer: a defence that smothers guards can still leak to centres.
