Seven teams hit 15 games, and the schedules still differ

Here's the headline: SAS, UTA, POR, PHX, NOP, MEM and MIL all play 15 games from 2 Nov to 29 Nov. Behind them sit seven teams on 14 (PHI, BOS, NYK, OKC, CLE, WAS and MIN). The 15-game group has a clear edge on volume, and that's where most waiver-wire planning starts.

But a game count is a total, not a schedule. The grid also flags back-to-backs, the second night of consecutive games, and those change how a week plays out. The page puts it plainly: back-to-backs are where stars get rested, so a four-game week containing two of them is not quite the gift the count suggests.

So the useful question for the 15-game teams isn't just how many games, but how many of them are bunched. That's where the group splits.

Back-to-backs split the 15-game teams

The page names three heaviest schedules, and the gap between them is the story. The San Antonio Spurs play 15 games with 1 back-to-back. The Utah Jazz play 15 with 2. The Portland Trail Blazers play 15 with 3.

Same game count, three different rest profiles. San Antonio's back-to-back is in week one, which opens with Utah, Dallas, at Sacramento and at Portland. After that, the Spurs' other weeks are not flagged with one.

Portland is the opposite. The grid flags a back-to-back in three of its four weeks, so the Blazers' 15 games come with more second nights than any other team named on the page.

Week by week: where the four-game weeks fall

Every one of the seven 15-game teams has exactly one three-game week and three four-game weeks. What differs is where the light week lands.

San Antonio, Phoenix and Milwaukee dip in week three. Utah and New Orleans dip in week four. Portland dips in week two. The Memphis Grizzlies are the odd one out, opening on 3 games before running 4, 4 and 4 over the rest of the window.

That matters for planning. A manager holding a Phoenix Suns or Milwaukee Bucks player knows the light week is 16 Nov to 22 Nov. Someone with a New Orleans Pelicans player faces it in the last week, 23 Nov to 29 Nov, when the Pelicans play Phoenix, at the Clippers and at Portland.

Back-to-backs sit on top of those counts. The grid flags Phoenix with back-to-backs in weeks one and two, New Orleans in weeks two and three, Memphis in weeks two and three, and Milwaukee in weeks two, three and four. That's three flagged weeks for the Bucks, level with Portland.

What a back-to-back costs a fantasy manager

The page's own math on games is simple. A four-game week is worth a third more than a three-game week: a player averaging 30 fantasy points returns 120 instead of 90. In its words, no matchup edge is worth that much.

That's why the count leads every cell. But the same page adds the caveat: teams rest veterans and players returning from injury on the second night of a back-to-back, and a week with two of them carries real risk that a headline star only plays some of it.

Portland shows how the flags can pile up. In week one the Blazers play four games, flagged with a back-to-back: at Denver, at Phoenix, at the Lakers, then San Antonio. Week two drops to three games, also flagged, with Oklahoma City twice and a trip to Sacramento. Week three is four games with another back-to-back: two at Minnesota, at Milwaukee and at New York. Three of four weeks carry the flag.

Compare that with San Antonio, whose single flagged week is the opener. Two teams on the same 15 games, and one has three times the back-to-back exposure. If you need a short-term pickup when a starter sits, the NBA fantasy streamers page ranks pickups on per-game value times games in the coming week.

The other end: Charlotte's 11 games

The Charlotte Hornets play 11 games over the same four weeks, four fewer than the 15-game group. Their weekly split on the grid is 3, 3, 2 and 3, so there isn't a four-game week anywhere in the window.

Week one shows who starts light. Eighteen teams play four games from 2 Nov to 8 Nov and 12 play only three, including Memphis, the New York Knicks, the Houston Rockets, Golden State and Detroit. Charlotte is in that three-game group too, with Detroit, at Brooklyn and Boston.

For anyone deciding whether to hold a Charlotte or Memphis player, start from the NBA fantasy rankings, which value every player for category and points leagues, then apply the game count. The Grizzlies recover with 4, 4 and 4. Charlotte doesn't have the same room to catch up.

Matchup ratings: the second filter after games

Once you've counted games and back-to-backs, the grid's third layer is difficulty. Every opponent is rated 1 to 5 on the fantasy points it conceded per game to each position group in 2026-27, with 5 the softest draw and 1 the toughest.

Position changes the answer. A defense that smothers guards can still leak to centers, so a rating read for all positions can mislead. You can filter the grid by position to see what your own player's group faces.

The page is clear on priority: games first, matchup second. For a view of how each upcoming game might play out, NBA game projections carry a projected score, win probability and spread and total for every upcoming game. The full four-week grid has every team's weeks side by side.

Seven NBA teams play 15 games across the four fantasy weeks from 2 Nov to 29 Nov: the Spurs, Jazz, Trail Blazers, Suns, Pelicans, Grizzlies and Bucks. Most managers see that number and stop reading. The NBA fantasy schedule grid says the same total can hide very different rest patterns.

Portland packs 3 back-to-backs into its 15 games. San Antonio has 1. At the other end, the Charlotte Hornets play just 11, a four-game gap that can be the difference between a starter and a bench spot.

This piece ranks the 15-game group by how those games are spread, week by week, using the grid for 2 Nov to 29 Nov.
