Utah Jazz injury report

Injury/Illness - Right 2nd Plantar Plate Tear (2026-11-06, UTA@DAL). Prior reporting (2026-11-06): Nurkic (toe) has begun participating in on-court activities as he continues recovering from a right foot injury sustained during an Oct. 4 preseason game against Denver. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the Jazz announced Friday. Nurkic is progressing in his recovery, but the two-week re-evaluation timeline indicates he remains some distance from returning to game action. His absence should continue to create opportunities in Utah's frontcourt, with Jaxson Hayes and Mo Bamba among the players positioned to benefit from additional playing time. Nurkic's next evaluation will provide a clearer picture of his potential return date.
Expected back 20 Nov

G League - Two-Way (2026-11-06, UTA@DAL). Prior reporting (2026-10-24): Alexander won't play Wednesday against the Grizzlies due to a left knee bone bruise. Alexander sat out Friday's preseason finale with what the team initially described as a left knee injury, but we now know he's dealing with a bone bruise. Don't be surprised if Alexander misses Friday's game against the Pelicans as well.

Injury/Illness - Right MCL Tear (2026-11-06, UTA@DAL). Prior reporting (2026-10-27): Jackson has been diagnosed with a torn MCL in his right knee and will be sidelined for 6-to-8 weeks, per Shams Charania of ESPN. Jackson sustained the injury early in Monday's loss to Memphis, and he's now expected to miss at least a month and a half of action. The star big man's absence creates a major void in the Utah lineup, one that is likely to be filled by a timeshare of Jaxson Hayes (shoulder), Kyle Filipowski and Mo Bamba. The Jazz could also shift Lauri Markkanen (wrist), when healthy, to the center spot at times, perhaps allowing Ace Bailey to spend more time at power forward.

Minnesota Timberwolves injury report

Injury/Illness - Right Achilles Tendon Repair / Surgery (2026-11-06, MIN@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-10-05): DiVincenzo (Achilles) remains confident that he'll return during the 2026-27 season, Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reports. DiVincenzo is approaching six months since tearing his right Achilles during the first round of the playoffs and has been rehabbing with the expectation that he'll play at some point this season. The veteran guard has sought advice from Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton and Damian Lillard during his recovery, though Minnesota has yet to establish a timetable for his return.
Expected back 2 Apr

Injury/Illness - Right Knee Arthroscopy (2026-11-06, MIN@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-10-29): Edwards underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his right knee Thursday, the Timberwolves announced. Edwards underwent debridement surgery in Minnesota, though the team did not provide a timetable for his return. The star guard is expected to make a full recovery, with additional updates coming as he progresses through rehabilitation. Based on previous reporting from ESPN's Shams Charania, Edwards could miss up to two months. Edwards was off to a scorching start this season, averaging 33.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals across four appearances.
Expected back 21 Dec

Injury/Illness - Left Hip Contusion (2026-11-06, MIN@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-11-06): Shannon (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game against New Orleans. Shannon's absence will leave Minnesota a bit shorthanded on the wing. His limited role makes the absence unlikely to have a significant fantasy impact, though the Timberwolves could distribute his available minutes among their remaining perimeter players.
