Dallas Mavericks injury report

5 listed
  • Dereck Lively II

Injury/Illness - Right Foot Surgery (2026-11-04, DAL@SAS). Prior reporting (2026-11-01): Lively (foot) is listed as out for Monday's game against the Kings. Although there haven't been any negative reports regarding Lively's rehab progress, it doesn't appear he will be back in the lineup anytime soon. For now, the 22-year-old should be considered week-to-week. While Lively remains on the shelf, Daniel Gafford and Moussa Cisse should continue to handle most of the work at the five. Santi Aldama (knee) might also get involved in that area once he's cleared to return.

    Expected back 12 Nov

  • Tarik Biberovic

Injury/Illness - Right Heel Bursitis (2026-11-04, DAL@SAS). Prior reporting (2026-11-01): Biberovic (heel) is listed as out for Monday's game against Sacramento. Biberovic has been battling inflammation in his right heel, preventing him from making his NBA debut. While the rookie should be considered week-to-week, he likely has a way to go before earning a meaningful role in Dallas even when he's cleared to suit up.

    Expected back 12 Nov

  • Sergio De Larrea

Injury/Illness - Right Knee Sprain (2026-11-04, DAL@SAS). Prior reporting (2026-10-30): Head coach Dusty May said Friday that de Larrea (knee) will be re-evaluated next week, Noah Weber of TheSmokingCuban.com reports. De Larrea sprained his right knee in Monday's win over Miami and is without a definitive timetable for a return to action. However, his absence shouldn't cause any significant waves in the rotation.

    Expected back 6 Nov

  • Max Christie

Injury/Illness - Right Hip Soreness / Tightness (2026-11-04, DAL@SAS). Prior reporting (2026-11-03): Christie (hip) is out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. The swingman is missing his first game of the season with a hip injury , which he suffered Monday against the Kings. Naji Marshall and Zaccharie Risacher stand out as the most likely candidates to step into the starting lineup Wednesday.

    Expected back 6 Nov

  • Santi Aldama
    Santi AldamaFDoubtful

Injury/Illness - Right Knee Surgery (2026-11-04, DAL@SAS). Prior reporting (2026-11-04): Aldama (knee) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, per NBA reporter Marc Stein. Despite going through shootaround, Aldama still doesn't appear to be ready for his season debut. Assuming he's later ruled out, Aldama's next chance to play would come Friday against Utah.

Utah Jazz injury report

5 listed
  • Jusuf Nurkic

Injury/Illness - Right 2nd Plantar Plate Tear (2026-11-04, UTA@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-11-03): Nurkic (foot) is out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. Nurkic has been a spectator to begin the season, and he's still not ready for game action due to a foot injury. The veteran big man should be considered week-to-week until the Jazz update his recovery, so Jaxson Hayes should remain the team's primary center going forward.

    Expected back 13 Nov

  • Trey Alexander

G League - Two-Way (2026-11-04, UTA@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-10-24): Alexander won't play Wednesday against the Grizzlies due to a left knee bone bruise. Alexander sat out Friday's preseason finale with what the team initially described as a left knee injury, but we now know he's dealing with a bone bruise. Don't be surprised if Alexander misses Friday's game against the Pelicans as well.

    Expected back 6 Nov

  • Jaren Jackson Jr.

Injury/Illness - Right MCL Tear (2026-11-04, UTA@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-10-27): Jackson has been diagnosed with a torn MCL in his right knee and will be sidelined for 6-to-8 weeks, per Shams Charania of ESPN. Jackson sustained the injury early in Monday's loss to Memphis, and he's now expected to miss at least a month and a half of action. The star big man's absence creates a major void in the Utah lineup, one that is likely to be filled by a timeshare of Jaxson Hayes (shoulder), Kyle Filipowski and Mo Bamba. The Jazz could also shift Lauri Markkanen (wrist), when healthy, to the center spot at times, perhaps allowing Ace Bailey to spend more time at power forward.

    Expected back 14 Dec

  • Harrison Ingram

    G League - Two-Way (2026-11-04, UTA@NOP).

  • Mo Bamba
    Mo BambaCQuestionable

Injury/Illness - Right Ankle Sprain (2026-11-04, UTA@NOP). Prior reporting (2026-11-04): Bamba (ankle) participated in Wednesday's morning shootaround, per Shreyas Laddha of The Salt Lake Tribune. Bamba is trending in a positive direction ahead of Wednesday's game in New Orleans. He can be tentatively placed on the right side of his questionable designation.
