Juventus vs Roma: Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Juventus vs Roma: Statz Preview & Predictions

Juventus are cooking under new boss Luciano Spalletti, winning five of their last six games in all competitions.

On Saturday evening (19:45 GMT kick off), they face a Roma side that sits four points ahead of them in the Serie A table.

With just eight points separating the top six teams in Serie A, will Juventus or Roma take a giant leap forward with victory in Turin?

Juventus vs Roma Preview

Four of the last six meetings between these sides have ended in a 0-0 or 1-1 draw, with the other culminating in a 1-0 win for either team.

So goals generally haven’t been on the menu, but with Spalletti in the Juventus dugout and Gian Pero Gasperini – famed for his attacking style of play with Atalanta – now in charge of Roma, perhaps Saturday’s clash could bring an end to the famine.

Juventus have won three of their last four home games and kept three clean sheets, so that helps to explain our projections for this one:

Juventus vs Roma Betting Tips

Our goal supremacy projections make Juventus a solid if unspectacular favourite, but general odds of 19/20 hold little appeal given Roma’s own qualities.

The goals markets have been well scouted too, so if we’re going to have to take a player-based approach to our betting here.

Kenan Yildiz is a man of interest for Juventus. He’s been fouled at least once in eight of his last nine Serie A games, with the German drawing two or more fouls in five of his last seven.

So we’re going to double up Yildiz to be fouled twice or more with Wesley, Roma’s likely right wing back and direct opponent to the Juve man, to commit two or more fouls.

That’s a line that has landed twice in five of Wesley’s most recent matches, but Yildiz is a tricky customer who could push that percentage up on Saturday – at odds of 7/5, it’s certainly worth a second look.

·   Yildiz 2+ fouls drawn & Wesley 2+ fouls committed

Juventus vs Roma Bet Builder

With those two selections in the bag, we can add two more to our bet builder thanks to our tackles projections.

As you can see, both Manuel Locatelli and that man Wesley have been modelled to make two or more tackles on Saturday.

Combine all of our selections for an 11/4 bet builder.

·   Yildiz 2+ fouls drawn

·   Wesley 2+ fouls committed

·   Locatelli 2+ tackles

·   Wesley 2+ tackles
