Colin Ackermann (25 off 21, 2×4, SR 119) and Will Rhodes (38 off 32, 3×4, 1×6, SR 119) rebuilt steadily through the middle overs. Ackermann was bowled at 99/6 in the 15th, but Rhodes carried on and put on a vital partnership with Kasey Aldridge (20 off 13, 3×4, SR 154) that pushed the total past 150. Rhodes fell caught at 143/7 in the 19th over and Aldridge went at 155/8, leaving Matty Potts (3 not out) and Nathan Sowter (0 not out) to see out the innings.

Nottinghamshire’s bowling attack shared the wickets around. Olly Stone took 2/25 from three overs, Mohammad Ali claimed 2/35 from four, and George Linde was the most economical of the multi-wicket takers with 2/19 from three overs (Econ 6.33). Dillon Pennington (1/24) and Benny Howell (1/32) added support.

Second Innings – Nottinghamshire: 157/4 in 17.2 overs

This was the George Munsey show. The opener was magnificent, smashing an unbeaten 88 off 52 balls (9×4, 3×6, SR 169) to drive Nottinghamshire home with almost three overs to spare.

Joe Clarke got things moving early with 11 off 6 (1×4, 1×6, SR 183) before falling LBW at 29/1 in the third over. Jack Haynes (10 off 8, 1×4) was caught at 54/2 in the fifth over, but Munsey stayed firm throughout.

Freddie McCann provided the ideal foil with a patient 32 off 33 (4×4, SR 97), putting on a match-defining partnership with Munsey that took Nottinghamshire from 54/2 to 145/3. McCann’s dismissal at 145/3 and Tom Moores falling for 0 the very next ball at 146/4 caused a brief wobble, but Linde (7 not out off 4, 1×4) joined Munsey to knock off the remaining runs without fuss.

Durham’s bowlers struggled to contain Munsey. Potts took 2/39 from four overs but at an economy of 9.75, while Aldridge’s 1/31 from 2.2 overs cost 13.29 per over. Callum Parkinson (1/20, Econ 6.67) was the most economical, and Raine went wicketless but conceded just 25 from four overs (Econ 6.25).
