Tom Curran delivered a stunning all-round display – an unbeaten 49 off 20 balls followed by 1/18 from three overs – as Surrey posted 213/6 and bowled Lancashire out for 154 in 16.1 overs. Surrey Set the Tone – 213/6
Lancashire won the toss and elected to bowl, but Jason Roy had other ideas. Roy smashed 45 off just 19 balls at a strike rate of 237, cracking five fours and three sixes before being caught with the score on 55 in the sixth over. That early assault set the tempo for everything that followed.
Adam Thomas (32 off 26) and Ollie Pope (31 off 20, SR 155) kept the scoreboard moving through the middle overs, building the innings from 55/1 to 110/3 before both fell in quick succession.
