Somerset won by 7 wickets (with 22 balls remaining) against Hampshire in a clinical all-round display at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. The 6th match of 111 in the T20 Blast 2026 saw Somerset win the toss and bowl first, restrict Hampshire to 158 all out, then chase it down with nearly four overs to spare. Hampshire got off to a decent start through Toby Albert (23 off 17, strike rate 135) and James Vince, who looked in superb touch from ball one. But Albert fell caught at 32/1 in the 4th over, and Joe Weatherley contributed just 8 off 8 before departing at 58/2 in the 8th over. Will Smeed fell caught at 96/2 in the 9th over, but by then the hard work was done.
