2025 NBA Standings

NBA standings are ranked by win percentage: Wins ÷ (Wins + Losses). The top 6 teams in each conference qualify directly for the playoffs. Seeds 7–10 enter the Play-In Tournament. Tiebreakers are resolved in order: head-to-head record, division record (if both teams are in the same division), conference record, then record vs playoff teams. The Statz standings page updates automatically after every game.

In the Eastern Conference, Detroit Pistons lead at 56-21. In the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder top the table at 61-16. The 6th seed in each conference is the last direct playoff spot — currently Philadelphia 76ers (43-34) in the East and Minnesota Timberwolves (46-31) in the West. Standings update automatically after every game.

The NBA Play-In Tournament is held after the regular season and determines the 7th and 8th seeds in each conference. The 7-seed hosts the 8-seed: the winner takes the 7 playoff spot directly. The loser then plays the winner of the 9-vs-10 game — the survivor earns the 8 seed. All four teams (seeds 7–10) are shown in the Play-In zone of the standings table above.

Current Play-In teams — East: Toronto Raptors (43-34), Charlotte Hornets (42-36), Orlando Magic (41-36), Miami Heat (41-37). West: Phoenix Suns (42-35), Portland Trail Blazers (40-38), LA Clippers (39-38), Golden State Warriors (36-41). The 7-seed hosts the 8-seed, with the winner earning the 7th playoff spot. The loser plays the winner of the 9-vs-10 game for the 8 seed.

The 2025 NBA regular season runs from October 2025 through April 2026, with each team playing 82 games. Top teams have approximately 5 games remaining. Every game matters — a single result can shift seeding across both conferences and move teams in or out of Play-In spots.
