How Statz Rating works:
- Each player receives a contextual match impact score based on their all-round contribution — batting, bowling, and situational factors.
- Ratings are scaled against the season benchmark so they are directly comparable across fixtures and to the season leaderboard.
- A typical top performer scores around 100. Exceptional performances can exceed 100.
Worcestershire vs Glamorgan – T20 Blast 2026 Match Report | Statz
Raza’s 4/17 Demolishes Glamorgan as Worcestershire Cruise to 27-Run Win
Worcestershire won by 27 runs against Glamorgan in match 38 of 112 in the T20 Blast 2026, with Sikandar Raza delivering a match-defining spell of 4/17 to strangle the chase at County Ground, New Road, Worcester. Worcestershire move to 7th in the standings with three wins from four, while Glamorgan slip to 9th with just two wins from five.
First Innings – Worcestershire 168/8 (20 ov)
Worcestershire’s innings was a tale of two halves. After winning the toss, Glamorgan elected to bowl and struck early – Brett D’Oliveira fell for 6 caught off Daniel Douthwaite at 24/1, and Kashif Ali was bowled by the same man just two balls later to leave Worcestershire 28/2 in the powerplay.
Adam Hose steadied the ship with a superb 50 off 31 balls, striking three fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 161. He rebuilt with Isaac Mohammed, who ground out 30 off 30 to provide the platform. Their partnership took the score from 28/2 to 66/3 before Mohammed fell to Andy Gorvin.
Hose kept attacking but wickets tumbled around him – Ethan Brookes made just 8 off 11 before Worcestershire slipped to 95/4 and then 102/5 when Hose himself was caught off Gorvin. From there, the lower order fired. Gareth Roderick smashed 17 off 11 including a six, Matthew Waite finished unbeaten on 13 off 7 at a strike rate of 186, and Usama Mir blasted 23 off just 10 balls with two sixes to push Worcestershire to a competitive 168/8.
For Glamorgan, Gorvin was the pick of the bowlers with 3/34 from his four overs, while Douthwaite chipped in with 2/25. Nathan McAndrew took 2/39 but was expensive, and James Neesham went for 26 from two wicketless overs. Timm van der Gugten was the most economical with 1/21 at 5.25 per over.
Second Innings – Glamorgan 141/10 (19.3 ov)
Glamorgan’s chase started brightly. Captain Kiran Carlson attacked from the outset with 35 off 24 balls, cracking three fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 146. He and Will Smale put on 53 for the opening wicket in 6.4 overs, and Glamorgan looked well placed in the run chase.
Then Raza happened. The Zimbabwean all-rounder was introduced and immediately turned the contest. Carlson fell caught for 35 off Usama Mir at 53/1, and the floodgates opened. Smale was bowled by Raza for 18, Henry Hurle went for a duck caught off Adam Finch, and Ben Kellaway was caught off Raza for 5. Sean Dickson was then bowled by Finch for 4, and suddenly Glamorgan had collapsed from 53/0 to 68/5 in the space of just four overs.
Chris Cooke (15 off 13) and Neesham (15 off 16) tried to rebuild, but Raza returned to dismiss both Douthwaite (3) and Neesham to finish with extraordinary figures of 4/17 from four overs at an economy of 4.25. McAndrew’s late cameo of 33 off 16 balls – four fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 206 – provided some entertainment but never threatened to change the result. Waite eventually cleaned up McAndrew to seal the 27-run victory.
Statz MVP – Sikandar Raza (162.9)
Raza’s Statz Rating of 162.9 is exceptional – on a scale where a top performer typically scores around 100, this blows past it. The all-rounder contributed 11 with the bat and then ripped through Glamorgan’s middle order with 4/17 at an economy of 4.25. His spell between overs 7 and 16 effectively ended the contest. The Statz Rating calculates impact based on match context, and in a game where a solid chase collapsed entirely, Raza was the catalyst. View the full match scorecard on Statz.
